Took them long enough! I sent in that order for this one guy's scarf. It's real dorky. I guess I kinda like it, and I sort of wanted one, but hey, I'm really nice, so I decided I'd just get a bunch of 'em!

...Too bad I'm real broke now. I stole some money from a couple guys off the street, but I guess I'm going to need more than that. Money's a real pain, you know that, journal? I should just get anything I want. Oh, yeah. I decided I was going to hang all the scarves up in the halls, just to be annoying. It'll look really funny, hee hee! I think I'll take his clothes, too, but I haven't quite thought it through yet... Talk to ya.

[[On Friday morning, something strange is decorating the school. And it may or may not be classified as a Halloween decoration.

Duplicates of Morty's scarf lay strewn everywhere - the hallways, the cafeteria, the library, you name it - especially on clotheslines that seem to have been intricately hung up overnight. In addition to that, every so often, one might run into one of Morty's other articles of clothing, such as a sweater, a sock, or that dweeby headband. However, the scarves surprisingly outnumber any of his others clothes, and by a large margin.

I dunno whose they are, or where they came from, but there's so damn many of'em I figured I'd borrow one for the winter. My old one's kinda, well, old. Anyhow, they'd be a lot more useful goin' to the folks who don't got any scarves instead of bein' blown to smithereens, don'tcha think?

I dunno, since mornin'... Feels okay so far. [It's not entirely off, but he has shifted it so there is a very long end that he is holding out for Samus.] You try it.

[Stare. STARE THAT SAYS "I DON'T WANT TO."]

[C'mooooon Samus. He's way too prudish ~~and closeted~~ to be doing this to be hitting on you.]

[NO IT'S PROBABLY DIRTY AND HAUNTED OR SOMETHING STUPID LEAN AWAY]

[LEANS CLOSER. And throws the end of the scarf around her neck and shoulders.]

[Knee-jerk reaction! DEATH GRIPING THE FREE-HANGING PART OF THE SCARF THAT CONNECTS THEM TOGETHER and she kind of just freezes right there. And stares at the scarf. With extra frowning action. And stares at Lighter.]

...Nothing's happening.

Well, yeah. If somethin' was gonna happen it probably woulda happened when I first put it on. It's... kinda sad when it's harder to believe somethin's normal than believin' it's magic.

[Sssslowly let go. Gosh this scarf is comfy and easy to wear.]

Still doesn't explain who hung them up everywhere.

Some weirdo, not that that narrows it down none. I've had a hell of a time tryin' to carry my 4x4 around without gettin' it caught on all of the clotheslines.
